Are states going to recognize these as new labels or revised/updates? Meaning, will the labels need to be double registered (thus double fees paid)? Some states have said they would consider the PFLM labels to be updates of the existing labels for the same product. Most states have said while both versions of the labels (legacy and PFLM) will need to be registered, they won’t charge a double fee. AAFCO continues to have status updates and will have reminders about the regulatory discretion recommendations for implementation.
