> Ingestion of nicotine may result in gastrointestinal distress (e.g. drooling, vomiting), cardiovascular abnormalities (e.g., abnormal heart rate and blood pressure), neurological signs (e.g. tremor, agitation, stupor, collapse), respiratory distress (e.g. shallow breathing,) and death.

> Some nicotine products may also contain the artificial sweetener xylitol.

> Xylitol is toxic for dogs causing low blood glucose and liver injury.
