② 농림축산식품부장관 또는 해양수산부장관은 동물의 질병을 진료 또는 예방하기 위하여 사용되는 동물용 의약품등으로서 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 제제에 대하여는 사용 대상, 용법ㆍ용량 및 사용금지기간 등 사용 기준을 정할 수 있다. <개정 2018.12.11>(EN: MAAF/MOFRA minister may set usage standards (target, dosage, withdrawal period) for vet drugs deemed risky to human health or for disease-control.)③제2항에 따라 사용 기준이 정해진 동물용 의약품등을 사용하려는 자는 그 기준을 지켜야 한다. 다만, 수의사 및 수산질병관리사의 진료 또는 처방에 따라 사용하는 경우에는 그 기준을 지키지 아니하여도 된다. <개정 2018.12.11>(EN: Users of vet drugs with set usage standards must comply, except when used per a veterinarian's/aquatic-animal-health-manager's diagnosis or prescription.)④「수의사법」에 따른 동물병원 개설자는 제44조에도 불구하고 동물 사육자에게 동물용 의약품을 판매하거나, 동물을 진료할 목적으로 제50조제2항 단서에 따라 약국개설자로부터 의약품을 구입할 수 있다. 이 경우 동물병원 개설자는 농림축산식품부령 또는 해양수산부령으로 정하는 바에 따라 거래 현황을 작성ㆍ보존하여야 한다. <개정 2008.2.29, 2013.3.23>(EN: A veterinary hospital operator may sell vet drugs to animal keepers, and buy drugs from a pharmacy, notwithstanding Article 44, keeping transaction records.)
