South Korea MAFRA Notice 2025-20 — Export Health Certificate & Non-Compliance

Export Health Certificate (Art. 9)
Prior to shipment, the exporting country's veterinary officer shall issue an export health certificate in Korean or English detailing:
- Commodity description (product name, packaging type, number of packages, gross & net weight)
- Origin of animal ingredients (species and countries) or "sterilized" if sterilized
- Compliance with Art. 5, 6, 7 and Annex
- Name, address and registration number of the manufacturing facility
- Date and place of shipment; vessel / aircraft name
- Exporter name and address
- Importer name and address
- Certificate issuance date / place, issuer title / name / office / signature
- Container and seal numbers
Non-compliance (Art. 10)
If non-compliance with this Notification is found, the Korean government may order disposal or return of the pet food and suspend import from the concerned facility. Suspension is lifted after the exporting country confirms corrective measures (on-site or other means).
