Species or category of animal: Suckling piglets and calves
Essential nutritional characteristics: High level of iron compounds authorised under the functional group ‘compounds of trace elements’ of the category ‘nutritional additives’ as referred to in Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003. The complementary feed may contain iron in a concentration higher than 100 times the relevant fixed maximum content in complete feed.
Recommended length of time: After birth up to 3 weeks

Other provisions: The instructions for proper use shall ensure that the legal maximum contents of iron for complete feed are respected.
