Recommended length of time: 3 to 8 weeks: if signs of intolerance disappear this feed can be used initially up to one year.
Labelling declarations: — Protein sources including treatment, if appropriate (if added). — Carbohydrate source(s) including treatment, if appropriate (if added). — Essential fatty acids (if added)
Other provisions: 1. The feed shall be placed on the market as complete feed. 2. It is recommended to limit the number of main protein sources to 3. 3. To indicate on the labelling: — Appropriate combination of the essential nutritional characteristics, as applicable — ‘It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use and before extending the period of use.’
