Pet feed hygiene rule promulgation & compliance transition (MOA Announcement No.20, 2018)
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Announcement No. 20 (dated 2018-04-27) promulgated six normative pet-feed documents together — including the <Pet Feed Hygiene Rule> (宠物饲料卫生规定), the <Pet Feed Label Rule>, the <Pet Feed Management Measures>, and production-license / import-registration material requirements. From 2018-06-01, applications for producing or import-registering pet compound feed / pet premix had to follow these documents. Enterprises already producing without a license, and already-importing products without import registration, had to obtain the license/registration by 2019-09-01.
