Article 18 — Inspection of Purchased Feed Materials (第十八条)
Article 18 (第十八条) of 《饲料和饲料添加剂管理条例》 (Regulation on the Administration of Feed and Feed Additives) requires feed and feed additive production enterprises to:
- Inspect or test (查验或者检验) purchased feed materials (饲料原料), single feeds (单一饲料), feed additives (饲料添加剂), medicated feed additives (药物饲料添加剂), additive premixes (添加剂预混合饲料), and raw materials used for feed-additive production, in accordance with the provisions of the administrative department for agriculture under the State Council and relevant standards.
- Where restricted materials are used to produce feed, comply with the restrictive provisions of the administrative department for agriculture under the State Council. The use of any substance outside the three catalogues — 《饲料原料目录》 (Feed Materials Catalogue), 《饲料添加剂品种目录》 (Feed Additive Variety Catalogue), 《药物饲料添加剂品种目录》 (Medicated Feed Additive Variety Catalogue) — for feed production is prohibited (禁止).
- Faithfully record (如实记录) the name, place of origin, quantity, shelf life, licence document number, quality inspection information, producer or supplier name and contact, and purchase date, etc. The retention period of such records shall be no less than 2 years (不得少于 2 年).
