本条例所称饲料，是指经工业化加工、制作的供动物食用的产品，包括单一饲料、添加剂预混合饲料、浓缩饲料、配合饲料和精料补充料。

本条例所称饲料添加剂，是指在饲料加工、制作、使用过程中添加的少量或者微量物质，包括营养性饲料添加剂和一般饲料添加剂。

饲料原料目录和饲料添加剂品种目录由国务院农业行政主管部门制定并公布。

For the purposes of this Regulation, "feed" (饲料) means products that have been industrially processed or manufactured for animal consumption, including single feed (单一饲料), additive premix (添加剂预混合饲料), concentrated feed (浓缩饲料), compound feed (配合饲料) and concentrated supplement (精料补充料).

For the purposes of this Regulation, "feed additive" (饲料添加剂) means small or micro-quantity substances added in the course of feed processing, manufacturing or use, including nutritional feed additives (营养性饲料添加剂) and general feed additives (一般饲料添加剂).

The catalogue of feed materials and the catalogue of feed additive varieties shall be formulated and published by the administrative department for agriculture under the State Council (国务院农业行政主管部门).
