KR byeolpyo 15 2 definition

Korea's Annex 15-2 (별표 15의2, "Other Labeling Matters for Pet Feed", related to Article 10(1) of the Feed Standards and Specifications) was newly established on 2025.09.04 by MAFRA Notification No. 2025-93. It applies to pet feed meaning dog feed and cat feed; feeds other than dog and cat feed follow Annex 15. Annex 15-2 defines exactly two types of pet feed (Article 6): (1) Complete Pet Feed (반려동물완전사료) — pet feed whose nutritional composition is formulated to satisfy all nutritional requirements of pets at each growth stage without additional nutrient supplementation; to use the label, the feed must conform to the "nutritional standards" (영양표준) established by the Director of the National Institute of Animal Science (국립축산과학원); (2) Other Pet Feed (반려동물기타사료) — all pet feeds that do not fall under complete pet feed, which must be labeled "other pet feed" (labeling examples in Appendix 2 cover treats, supplements, additives, puppy milk, and beverages). Annex 15-2 Article 2 further defines labeling terms: product name, date of manufacture, expiration date (유통기한)/expiration period, best before date (품질유지기한), principal display panel, information panel, and distribution specialist seller (유통전문판매업체). There is no separate therapeutic/prescription pet feed category in this Annex.
