Overview
FAMIC designated feed additives — 抗生物質 (Antibiotics), 球虫薬 (Coccidiostats), and 抗原虫薬 (Anticoccidials) — with compositional specifications by animal species and production stage. Dosage limits are expressed in g potency/tonne of feed or g/tonne of feed. Strict withdrawal and prohibition rules apply to food-producing animals to prevent residues in human food.

5. Food-Producing Animal Prohibition (条項(2)ウ)
The following additives must not be used in feeds for:
- Dairy cattle (搾乳中の牛)
- Laying hens/quail (産卵中の鶏・うずら)
- Food animals within 7 days of slaughter: cattle (excluding finishing cattle >6 months), pigs, chickens, quail
