EU 2020/354 Part B Entries 31-49 — VERIFIED PERMANENT NUMBERING GAP (not missing data)
⚠️ This topic is a gap marker, not missing content. As of 2026-07-18 we have verified against TWO independent versions of Regulation (EU) 2020/354: the OJ original (L 67/1, 5.3.2020) and the consolidated version of 2025-04-22 (CELEX:02020R0354, 31 pages, archived locally as reg_2020_354_consolidated_20250422.pdf). In BOTH versions, Part B "List of intended uses" enumerates exactly entries 10-30 and 50-72 (44 entries total). Entry numbering starts at 10 (entries 1-9 were reserved and never used in any version) and jumps from 30 directly to 50. Entries 31-49 do not exist in any published version of the regulation.
Why the gap exists: Regulation 2020/354 replaced Directive 2008/38/EC. The 2008 directive's Part B table had no entry-number column at all; when 2020/354 introduced numbering, companion-animal uses were numbered 10-30 and livestock uses 50-72, leaving 1-9 and 31-49 as unused reserved ranges. Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/639 (2025-04-02) only corrects the Slovenian language version of the Annex — it does NOT add entries 31-49 to the English text.
Why this matters for AI products: purposes for entries 31-49 must NOT be fabricated — there is nothing to cite. Several placeholder topics previously circulated under names like entries_31_35_skin_coat, entries_36_40_musculoskeletal, entries_41_45_reproductive, entries_46_50_immune — these were AI-generated projections without source verification and are deleted/flagged as fabrication risk.
Status as of 2026-07-18: 44/44 real entries fully covered (see EU_2020_354_entry_10 through entry_72 topics, all re-verified against the consolidated 2025-04-22 text). Coverage is COMPLETE. If the EU ever publishes an amendment adding entries 31-49, this marker should be replaced by real per-entry topics.
