It is to be used in the feed of ruminants as a source of protein and/or as the sole source of non-protein nitrogen in an amount not to exceed 20% of the total ration. The label of the additive and of any feed additive supplement, feed additive concentrate, or feed additive premix prepared therefrom, must contain the following information in addition to any other\n\n\n### 24.10 Cottonseed Meal, Mechanical Extracted\n\n is the product obtained by finely grinding the cake, which remains after removal of most of the oil from cottonseed by a mechanical extraction process. It must contain not less than 36% crude protein. It may contain an inert, non-toxic conditioning agent either nutritive or non-nutritive or any combination thereof, to reduce caking and improve flowability in an amount not to exceed that necessary to accomplish its intended effect and in no case exceed 0.5%.
