Chapter 15 covers 7 specific ingredients.\n\n\n## Ingredient List\n\n\n### 15.1 Brewers Dried Grains\n\n is the dried extracted residue of barley malt alone or in mixture with other cereal grain or grain products resulting from the manufacture of wort or beer and may contain pulverized dried spent hops in an amount not to exceed 3%, evenly distributed. (Published 1965, Amended 1972)\n\n\n### 15.2 Malt Sprouts\n\n is obtained from malted barley by the removal of the rootlets and sprouts which may include some of the malt hulls, other parts of malt and foreign material unavoidably present. It must contain not less than 24% crude protein. The term malt sprouts when applied to a corresponding portion of other malted cereals must be used in qualified form: i.e., “Rye Malt Sprouts,” “Wheat Malt Sprouts,” etc. (Published 1942, Amended 1964, 1980)\n\n\n### 15.3 Malt Cleanings\n\n is obtained from the cleaning of malted barley or from the recleaning of malt which does not meet the minimum crude protein standard of malt sprouts. It must be designated and sold according to its crude protein content. (Published 1942)\n\n\n### 15.4 Malt Hulls\n\nconsists almost entirely of hulls as obtained in the cleaning of malted barley. (Published 1942)\n\n\n### 15.5 Dried Spent Hops\n\n is obtained by drying the material filtered from hopped wort. (Published 1944)\n\n\n### 15.6 Brewers Wet Grains\n\n is the extracted residue resulting from the manufacture of wort from barley malt alone or in mixture with other cereal grains or grain products. The guaranteed analysis shall include the maximum moisture. (Proposed 1971, Published 1974)\n\n\n### 15.7 Brewers Condensed Solubles\n\n is obtained by condensing liquids resulting as by-products from manufacturing beer or wort. It must contain not less than 20% total solids, 70% carbohydrates on a dry matter basis and the guaranteed analysis shall include maximum moisture.
