(Adopted prior to 1928)\n\n\n### 12.3 Pearl Barley By-Product\n\n is the entire by-product resulting from the manufacture of pearl barley from clean barley. (Proposed 1961, Published 1962)\n\n\n### 12.4 Barley Mill By-Product\n\n is the entire residue from the milling of barley flour from clean barley and is composed of barley hulls and barley middlings. (Proposed 1961, Published 1962)\n\n\n### 12.8 Barley Protein Concentrate\n\n is the dried protein fraction of barley prepared by enzymatic hydrolysis of starch, beta glucans, and fiber.
